We are having pizza at my toddler's bday party and don't know how many to order. The party is at 1pm and there will be chips, veggies %26amp; dip, and sliced fruit. We don't want to over or under order, how much will people be expecting to eat at the party?

I am hosting a Holiday party for my husbands work team. What should I serve?
I was thinking of a spiral ham with scalloped potatoes (because it's easy). There will be around 18 adults.
Any ideas for something else that will be fairly low maintenance and sure to come out good? I would do a roast of some sort but I always worry it will end up dry. Ideas please!

A spiral ham and scallaped potatoes sounds like a good start. You probably need 2 hams to serve all of those people. Also, I would serve a lighter side dish in addition to the potatoes like some sort of vegetable (zucchini, broccoli, asparagus, etc.) or a garden salad. With a garden salad you really can't go wrong, because you can add whatever vegetables you have available (spinach or romaine lettuce, tomatoes, onion, green or red pepper, radishes, cucumber, etc.) I would also serve dinner rolls with the meal. You can buy dough that you bake in the oven and that way it is hot and fresh. For dessert, I would suggest serving pies -- store bought should be fine (you could do a couple different types like pumpkin, pecan or a fruit pie.)

How do I find out how much space I am using in my hosting account? I am wanting to switch hosting and need to transfer all my files but want to make sure I get enough space. My favorite homemade facial, which doubles as an exfoiliant is to mix oatmeal, a little warm water and honey. Apply to the face and let sit for like 10 minutes, and then scrub into the face and rinse off. Your skin will feel soft and have a wonderful glow!
For the make-up and nails, I recommend going to eyeslipsface.com because all of their products are a dollar! They're really cute. You can get shadows, glosses, nail polishes, nail files, even brushes, all for a dollar! They even have sets, too. It's affordable enough that the girls can keep their favorite lipgloss or eyeshadow, if you wanted to. I've actually made goodie bags with their cosmetics before (for my little sister's birthday party.) They have some really cute, fun stuff.

I have 5 web sites hosted on my server (these are brochure sites - no enormous traffic) and I'm wondering if this is acceptable from a performance standpoint? How much is too much when utilizing hosting space (purchased from third party)? Are there tools that can provide information in regard to this? I have been trying to understand it, but nothing seems to be working for me. I want to be able to hotlink my photos from freeimagehosting.net and put them on a freewebs, bravehost, or any other web hosting site that would work. (and no, I can't just upload the picture onto those sites because they just resize my pictures.) Can anybody help please?

Currently I am a chat tech for this hosting company and I want to move up to administrator. So, I also want to learn more how to fix things in cpanel as well, Like database issues, Learn about ssl, Plesk, etc

Reply:What I did was went and bought a pizza box (server) and had it in a local datacenter. It was a Cobalt RAQ - I didn't know any better at the time but I did cut my teeth on it. (I still have it too.)
After a couple of years when the software for the RAQ was becoming outdated, I brought that box home and rented a dedicated server and ran dedicated servers on my own. It's really the best way to learn.

And this development of a full blown, professionally designed website is going to cost MUCH MORE than "a free website".
Count on 2 months design and a few thousands (£/$/€) - and don't expect returns for the first year. Anyone who tells you the contrary is a con-man...
DON'T put your hopes too high: web is NOT the "panacéa universalis" to your lack of sales...

The person who set up the website for our small company recently left. We need to make changes to the website, but don't have the password, and can't ask the person (left on not so good terms). I assume we need to contact whoever is hosting the website to reset the password - how do we find out who that is? We tried whois.com but for contact information is just lists our employee that left.

Then you can contact them to assit you in modifing the account details on the website.

Federal laws concerning the wear of the United States Military uniforms by people not on active duty are published in the United States Code (USC). Specifically, 10 USC, Subtitle A, Part II, Chapter 45, Sections 771 and 772.
Section 771 states:
Except as otherwise provided by law, no person except a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps, as the case may be, may wear -

Some people never get out of the area to which they were born and raised. This is so sad. People should learn about different cultures in different countries. Hosting an exchange student not only benefits the exchange student, it benefits the whole community! Sometimes, people become friends and remain friends for the rest of there lives.

Sometimes I cook, or clean, and try to learn them somethin about Switzerland...!!

What is proper etiquette when hosting this shower?
I was a little hurt that one of my best friends didn't ask me to be a bridesmaid, even though her fiance` asked my husband to be in it. Despite that fact, I still wanted to throw her a shower. Her maid of honor and one bridesmaid live out of town. (I live out of town as well, but I at least grew up in the town where she is marrying, so I feel comfortable planning a shower long distance.) Her other two bridesmaids are her sisters, one which is too young to know about such events, and the other who doesn't really seem to care for her sister (the bride) much at all. I told her I wanted to throw her a shower, and she was ecstatic. I know traditionally the maid of honor or bridesmaids will host one and all pitch in on the money, and they can still throw her one if they want to (at her college, lingerie, etc). My question is who do I ask to help throw this one? Is it her maid of honor and bridesmaids, our other close friends, family members? Are there any other etiquette rules?

I wouldn't step on anyone's toes, though, and I'd ask for the input of the mothers, maid of honor and bridesmaids, since technically it is their reponsibility far before it is yours.

grab a couple cheap bottles of wine or one of those boxed wines. how about some vodka lemonade, or orange juice and cranberry juice. for cheap snacks: deviled eggs, veggies and dip, veggie pizza, little weenies with 1 can jellied cranberry sauce and 1 jar chili sauce in a crockpot, chez ball with crackers, tortilla roll ups with mayo or flavored cram chez-lunch meats-lettuce-and shredded chez rolled up and cut into sections secure with toothpick and olive, taco dip, shrimp dip- take 1 pkg cream chez and spread on plate-spread 1 jar cocktail sauce-layer on little shrimps and serve with crackers. make sure you do all your shopping first at Aldi, you can get way more for your money there and if you have anything left over from your shopping list then go to the regular grocery store.

For when I used their so called free tools , I got what I paid for in return after the matr'ls were entered for final ispection and put-out. When I looked up the site it was completely mis-construed horizontally across the screen; line by line. No balance no centering no no no....all the work %26amp; time was wasted. Could only make out 3/4 of the full screen... Hope u have better results!?

My house is not child proofed and the parents don't supervise their child.

If your invitation clearly indicated that it was an adult event and children weren't welcome, you would be 100% justified to inform them again, after they arrived, that children are not welcome. You wouldn't have to worry too much about being tactful at that point.
If your invitation was less clearly-worded, then you'd need to more carefully consider what you would do. Perhaps suck it up and learn from your mistake, and make things much more clear in the future.
As far as I'm concerned, parents who don't supervise their children are being rude and tactless and don't deserve a whole lot of consideration. However, the other people at the party might think you are being rude if you kicked them out when the invitation wasn't worded clearly.

I think there will still be that one person who will think that they are exempt though. Manners have just gone right out the windows these days!

I want to start my own internet business, which in order to be successful must have high levels of traffic. I have never had a website before, am I correct in thinking that traffic above a certain level must be paid for extra?How much does this cost, roughly?
