They can then use that to blackmail you to stay on their hosting if there is a problem, you want to register a domain and keep control of it, so register a domain at enom.com or godaddy.com and then just update the DNS servers to point to your host. It is easy to do.

I need a transparent background for my image. I do not have Photoshop, only MS Paint. Photobucket isn't cooperating with this. I recall a website that starts with an "i" that can turn any color transparent. For instance, I give my image a bright yellow background (assuming there's no yellow in the actual picture) and select it. And then I can turn the color yellow into transparent. This thursday, I'm hosting a finals workshop for college students. I need some advice on what tips I should give them on doing well during finals time. I've put some pointers of my own, but I could use some advice on more tips to add. Don't worry about being competitive for the best answer. As long as you have good advice, I will consider putting it down.

If you find yourself getting really stressed and nervous, literally take a break and just breathe in and out deeply til tou feel a bit more calm and then continue
With studying it really depends on the subject they are doing like in English I was told not to just study one text in detail as the exam may give you a question on the text you studied but you may not be able to answer it whereas in Economics where the course is broken up into topics it is better to study a few areas in great detail then a bit of everything.
Working together also helps. Tell students to try and study in groups as discussing work helps the speaker to reinforce their knowledge and provides the listener an opportunity to clarify their understanding.
Group studying needs to balanced with studying on your own too, though as sometimes group studying turns out to be a big social event with little studying done. Students will also be working by themselves in the exams too; friends won't be helping.
Also reassure them it's not the end of the world if things don't turn out how they would've liked. There are many paths to take in life, many of those crossing over so there are many ways to achieve something you want

It sounds like you are playing around with a site and going to be learning so I recommend saving some money and just sticking with cheap hosting that cost under $10 dollars a month. Later if you make a site that makes money on the net or a business that is when its worth it to pay more. Just keep in mind cheap hosting is not perfect, have patience and realize there will be problems. I also strongly recommend you keep backups of your stuff too.
Some solid cheap hosts who have been around a long time are companies like hostgator.com, dreamhost.com, lunarpages.com, hostnine.com, bluehost.com, hostmonster.com, etc, all are monster big companies that are good at what they do. I use 3 of those for small blogs etc and they are all pretty cheap.

There is a website hosting company that will not return my calls or emails. I can't cancel anywhere on the site, yet they charge me over and over again. Is there anyone I can call to stop this company?

If you bought the domain from a separate company you could try and withhold payment from the hosting company and just reroute the domain to a new host. (This can lead to the balliffs being called in to collect your debt). Don't do this if your host also controls the domain because you could lose it.
At the end of the day, you only get what you pay for - so a cheap hosting = lousy service.

Tiki torches would be a nice touch too but u may need to be careful since it is for jr high kids. have lots of finger foods that kids can grab a handful of and run, since they prolly will be on the go. and u don't necessarilly need hawaiian music to play. u can play music from the past school year that they liked.

I served Texas Sheet Cake made on half-sheet baking pans. They were only $10 at the local restaurant supplier and I have found many uses for the pans since.
My Mother and I did all the food for both my sisters weddings.. no caterer.. and no cold salads, baked beans, chips and barbeque. All were impressed.

You buy the premade frozen meatballs and then on the stove (for each crockpot you make) you mix together 1 in a half jars of honey barbecue sauce and one in a half jars of apricot preserves until they boil, stirring it continiously and then you pour over the meatballs and let them cook. The meatballs absorb so much flavor from this and they are sooooo delicious and it is something that takes 5 minutes to prepare and then you can forget about it and focus on something else :)
Hosting a bridal shower and making the food myself?
A big pot of lil smokies and/or meatballs are always good.
Keep warm in a crock pot or two.
1 bag of (frozen swedish meatballs)
2 can of cranberry sauce (not the one w/ the cranberries in it)
2 jar of coctail sauce
Melt the sauces... add frozen balls (or smokies)
Heat thouroughly.
These are delicious and no one will EVER guess the ingredients!!

I served Texas Sheet Cake made on half-sheet baking pans. They were only $10 at the local restaurant supplier and I have found many uses for the pans since.
My Mother and I did all the food for both my sisters weddings.. no caterer.. and no cold salads, baked beans, chips and barbeque. All were impressed.

If they have children, then something "Mom" related would be great. One gift I have seen that I loved was the mother to be took a picture with each hostess and then 3 days later in the mail the hostesses each received a beautiful silver frame engraved "thank you" with the date of the shower and the picture of that hostess and the guest of honor---could do this even cheaper by not using silver!

Ingredients:
Pastry sheet dough (pre-made)
corned beef
sour kraut
thousand island dressing
Lay the pastry sheet dough out and cut into squares, of your desired size. Put a little bit of corned beef and a spoonfull of sourkraut on top of a square, then cover it with another square to form a "big ravioli".
Place on baking sheet and bake according to directions on box of pastry sheets and serve w/ 1000 island dressing.
*You can use this idea to creat other appetizers with different fillings.........ham and cheese, spinach and ricotta, crabmeat........possiblitlies are endless.

It's buffalo chicken dip --
1 8 oz of cream cheese
2 large cans of canned chicken breast (swanson brand perhaps)

1/2 cup ranch dressing (hidden valley original has the best flavor)
1/2 cup red hot hot sauce (if you like it hot add more to taste)

Mix in the ranch dressing. xook in oven for approcimately 15 minutes at 350-375 degrees depending on your oven. The upload limit per file is 10 MB, but this should be fine for all of your images unless you have done a lot of Photoshop work on them or unless they are RAW.
The worst case I have ever encountered is that I need to save it at one click below the best quality (11 instead of 12) if it is a really large file.

Nothing really, except you can't host IIS (ASP, ASP.net) on Non-Windows computers (apache discontinued support).
