I am hosting a female Japanese foreign exchange student who is 21. How can I help her feel comfortable?

She's coming April 1 for 3 months and has very minimal English. I am supposed to cook for her 4 nights a week; what do I feed her?

whatever you eat regularly. the point of exchange students is to live the way other people do. hang out and watch movies, even if she wont understand them. go shopping, play games, learn japanese and teach her english if you can. point out nouns, basically. just treat her like any other person you've never met before. GIVE HER OREOS.
Reply:well i think u should cook her a meal every night but thats just me! and well look up some things on google that a japanese peron would like to eat on regular basis OR take her to a japaness restront
Reply:Well she is there for a reason and that is to experience the life of... well you. So just do something that you would usually do but make just a bit better or like have a little feast if you want to make them feel like they are welcome.
