I am planning on hosting a Halloween party this October, and I need some cool ideas. Not everyone who is coming is 21. I don't want my party to turn out totally lame, but I also don't want people puking all over my couch, so what sort of things can I do? Are costume parties still cool? Haunted houses?
Any ideas on hosting a Halloween Party?
Halloween parties are always cool... but have a theme so guests can be creative. I once attended a party where you were asked to come dressed as a "song" (people were very creative!) and one where you came dressed as a monster. Be sure you have a lot of food available so people will eat more than they will drink. Make sure you have water bottles (you can decorate them) and pop on hand too. If your friends are up to it, send them out on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood (make it worth their while by offering a good prize). Happy haunting!!

Reply:Hey,
Some friends of mine had a “Galactic Conference” party where everybody came as Si-fi characters, and representatives from different planets and such. It was pretty cool, not too difficult, and we did have some really interesting visitors. Good luck.
Reply:costume parties are always in style just tell everyone to wear a costume and have like punch and chips and snacks like that. have some nice halloween music and fun games
Reply:Wow, getting a good jump on things, so you'll probably be in good shape. When it comes down to it, you know your friends best, but I'll try my best to help out.
Costumes are definitely still cool (who DOESN'T love a chance to dress up?) You could try going for a costume theme (50's, famous couples, hidden secret/fear, really anything goes) Try having some games going, like scary movie trivia...if you're playing for prizes (nothing major, $5 mcdonalds card, beer, mixed cd, whatever)
And you'll inevitably end up with a few different drinking games going.......sorry! You MAY want to consider a beer pong table... this usually draws a crowd, so it's not like everyone's heavily drinking
I tried.
Reply:Costume parties are still cool! I'm co-hosting one this year! I have found a lot of cool ideas by searching the web using key word Halloween. I also found some really cool books on Halloween parties and Haunted Houses at my local new and used book store! I have way to much info to share but I got them all from what I've mentioned! Good luck and I hope your parties the Bomb!!!!!
