to go about the money? should we play for fun or actually ask them to buy chips? how does all this work?

You might consider using a type of 'monopoly' money where each person coming in gets $20.00 or more. Tehn they use this 'cash' to buy into the games.


Then when the games are done, they can use the chips to turn in for raffle tickets for nice prizes or just let them have fun without the prizes!
Reply:usually, you have a "buy in" you should have chips of a different color which will represent different denominations. (example: blue chips 5 dollars, red chips 10 dollars, white chips 1 dollar, green chips 50 cents) this way, theres not a bunch of cash all over the place. it helps to keep things organized. another thing you might consider is doing a "chuck e cheese" type situation where you have chips which can be traded in for prizes etc. this is a good way of playing for fun. note: its ALWAYS more fun if your actually playing to win something. otherwise the games can get stale
