I am planning an evening mixer for my college alumni members. I am initiating this on my own so I suspect the costs would be entirely mine. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could pull off getting a place to host it without having to pay for the reservation or party food and activities?
Do you have a suggestion for hosting a free to low budget party/ mixer?
make you own hot brandy punch
boil 1/2 pint of water with 3/4 pound sugar a pinch of cinnamon the peel of two lemons and a small amount of nutmeg -mace-and cloves.boil 5 minutes -strain into a fireproof bowl and add 1 pint bottle of brandy and the juice of of 2 lemons ;then with a match set liquid on fire and serve while burning (no danger will not burn long)
make celery with cream cheese
make cerley with peanutbutter
get them little winners in a can cut in half add cube cheese
have craker %26amp; cheese
get one the college people to play disk jockey music and danceing
get bread take off the crust roll with rolling pin -spread with potted meat or fresh meat roll up the bread %26amp; meat like a jelly roll slice put a tooth pick to hold together
shrimp %26amp; backon take bacon wrap around put under boiler
till brown put tooth pick to hold bacon on shripm but they are coastly
get the jim for the party -free -or cheap rent talk to jim teacher
get some people to help set up %26amp; clean up
