Who is the least expensive web hosting site?

I don't want to end up with someone who is going to go under...so I'd like a web hosting site that's pretty stable...and inexpensive. Ideas?

Who is the least expensive web hosting site?
http://www.JuicyHosting.com or http://www.LocoDomains.com , they both are very good

Reply:Well, the question should be most reliable host company. As they say, you get what you pay for and most of the really 'cheap' host companies are not going to be best. www.godaddy.com is a good price and it offers all programs that are needed for a reliable host. They also are secure, have redundant servers so your site up time is better and safer, offers blogs, shopping carts etc and best of all, tech help is always there.

So don;t go for 'cheap' go for reliable when it comes to a host company
Reply:I like GoDaddy.com - I have used them for about 3 years.

If you are buying a new domain you usually get a substantial price break when adding hosting.....

I am a huge fan of 1and1. They have the most competitive prices with the best bandwidth and web space that I have ever found.

I know they have a package for $2.99/month that includes 10GB web space and 300GB monthly transfer volume!

I hope this helps.

Reply:You've gotten some great answers about paid hosting, so I'll just mention a free host I've lately found.

JustFree.com offers many of the features of paid hosts (PHP, MySQL, a control panel to install various software, etc), which is unique for free hosts. Also, they do no put advertisements on your site.

They've been around since 1998, so I'd say they're here for the long haul.

More info on getting started at the source link.
Reply:I've used Purple Cloud for a while now and they're really damn cheap £10 a year, the service has been pretty good I've not noticed any downtime... www.purplecloud.com
Reply:If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months' time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.

I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent.

Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukend...

They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well.

Visit the site to check details.

Domains

Following site is quite good to register domains as price is reasonable with free privacy. Some charge about $5/ year just for free privacy.

Reply:I've been using Hostgator for a long time and like them. They offer a whole range of plans at different prices.
Reply:I have used both ipowerweb and godaddy over the past 8 years. I loved ipowerweb but left because their support had become a joke. However, they were very reliable. I now use godaddy (and have for about a year) and I've found them to be very reliable. They also offer some excellent services and they are very inexpensive.
Reply:I personally like HostGator.com they run $9.95 per month, but GoDaddy has hosting for $3.99 per month.

The only problem with GoDaddy is that they do not give you access to the file manager. So if you want to install Word Press plugins, you are out of luck.

Good luck
Reply:I have used IPowerweb.com for nearly 5 yr. They are one of the top ten providers and have 24/7 support that all speak english! We have 2 sites with them. It costs under 100/yr per site. They have wonderful marketing tips, great tutorials and you are able to build your own if you have the time and inclination.

Also - remember you get what you pay for. It may be an old saying but it is too true!

I highly recommend them and if you do sign with pls give me as a referral person Kimberly Mitcham www.adoremy.com ! Thanks!
